About

Hi! My name is Shalom, a Full Stack developer with experience in JavaScript, React, Redux, HTML/CSS, Ruby on Rails, and C++. I've had the opportunity to work in Asia, Africa and the US in different sectors, including banking, research, and education. At every job, I've always had a passion for using technology to solve problems and improve lives. More specifically, I became passionate about programming through my responsibilities as a Research & Product Development Analyst. I loved working on and researching technical products that give businesses competitive advantage, augmenting customer acquisition and retention and allowing businesses to better meet customer needs.

But beyond business, I love learning new skills and building useful tools that simplify life. In 2019, I decided to take this interest further and started learning to program on Code Academy and, in 2020, enrolled in Flatiron's Software Engineering program. I believe my customer centric and goal oriented mindset as a business professional, and my attention to detail and innovation as a researcher will greatly fuel my growth in the field of programming. I look forward to contribute my skills and past experiences to this journey!
